Re: “The Arkansas Medicaid verification mess: what went wrong

Dizzy Dame ... The maker of his medication (Pfizer or whoever it might be) likely has a program for free medication. In most cases, it is not too difficult to receive the medication. You can search online for the particular company who makes the medication and see if they have a program. You may also contact his doctor or clinic and ask if they know of a program which will allow him to receive the medication he needs at no cost (or deeply discounted costs). These types of programs require a form to be filled out and the prescribing doctor will need to fill out his or her portion of the form along with he prescription. The forms can then be sent in the mail or faxed to the manufacturer of the medication. I don't know what his medication is, so I don't know he manufacturer. But this is the Pfizer page for financial assistance with medication. http://www.pfizerrxpathways.com/ ... I really hope it works out. So many people are in similar situations now with this stubbornness of the State to follow the law.

Re: “The Arkansas Medicaid verification mess: what went wrong

This calls for action. People need to organize and take action. If you have not done so already, call and email (or postal mail) the Governor's Office with a formal complaint. Tell every person you know or see to do the same thing. If you know any activist groups, inform them as well. And tell everyone you know to do the same. The State is breaking the law and when that happens, it is up to the citizens to group together and push for justice.
