I am one of the owners of John Toland Company D/B/A New Horizon Apartments. After an extensive investigation, these allegations were never proven. At the time of the call that was supposedly made to our company, we had two residents who had service dogs (with no deposit required, of course) living in our apartments. We make a practice of adhering the Fair Housing Act which made it against the law to discriminate against a prospective resident with a service/emotional support animal. This is the right thing to do for veterans or others who require this emotional support.
