Re: “UTC Aerospace to close NLR unit that employs 32

There was approximately 135 employees when UTC purchased the North Little Rock facility (2012). They then began slowing down operations, performing reduction in force initiatives, and reducing pay and benefits while along gaining revenue for their management and stock holders. Where was the press and media when this was going on? How can a corporation get away with preaching ethical behavior while raping its employees behind closed doors? This Arkansas based company created the in-flight entertainment industry within the aviation market and Arkansas' governmental agencies did nothing to assist their workers or their tax base. It's criminal what UTC did to the loyal employees but with a few press releases and a promise to "help" with some outplacement services, everything looks like UTC had no choice...poor, poor me! I'm sure the media as well as Government officials will turn a blind eye, as they continue to promote UTC as a loyal Government vender. Check it out and see how much money they grab from Government contracts and compare it to what they do for their employees. When it comes down to it, the headline should not read, "employs 32". Rather it should report how over 135 employees lost their future to a empty corporation that put its self interests before its people. How ethical is that?
