Re: “The South shall rise again

Mr. Mauch as right, the Confederate flag was designed using Chirstian symbols the "cross of Saint Andrew", or the Greek letter "Chi" that was a symbol of Christ in ancient times, and is still used today or untill a few years ago for people that could not write as thier "mark" the "X". He is right on a few more points also. Abe Lincoln was not even on the ballot in Arkansas in 1859, and after he was sworn in he usurped the Constitution and called for 75,000 troops to attack his own people. Thats when Arkansas decided to join 8 other states and leave the union and 4 more states would follow soon after. This was done under Constitutional law. At this time slavery was not even an issue and was only made an issue when England and France were siding with the South and were about to send troops to help the Confederate States that a "war measure" had to be taken and the "amancipation proclamation" was issued. Linclon also thought that the slaves would revolt and there would be riots in the streets of the South, but he was wrong. I know by the comments above that many off you have not read much, but if you'll take the time to read it, you will see that this bogus document freed no slaves. I, for one, am glad to see a man that is not afraid to tell the truth in these politically correct times. I can see he is more informed that the author of this article, but I can't expect much from this liberal rag. A monument to the war criminal lincoln has no place in Arkansas. Lincoln shut down northern newspapers, arrested congressmen from Maryland, deported, or forced into exile a congressman from Ohio, and tried to have the Chief Justice of the supreme court thrown in jail. Then a few days after the battle of Gettysburg he called for troops that had just fought there to march to New York and fire on his own people there in the draft riots. Abe Lincoln, a true public school hero for the masses. Keep telling the truth Mr. Mauch, you have more people in your corner than you might think! Good Luck and God Bless!
