Re: “Big changes coming to employee contracts in Little Rock School District

How is this? Students at 16 schools received 1:1 devices in the recent years. The schools with the lowest test scores were to receive their devices this year. Now that the State has taken over, these schools will not receive the devices. Therefore students in 1:1 device schools have 9,500+ books available to read as well as quizzes that put them at their correct reading level, per their Lexile score. The students in 1:1 have access to Google Docs and Gaggle where their teachers are able to set up classes, include training videos, assign quizzes. At this time I am at a training for teachers on how to use Gaggle and the new workspaces. Well, it won't really matter, because my school is one of the schools that are not to be included in this 1:1 initiative. How is this fair? How does this put all the students at the LRSD on the same playing field? My students all learned to use Google and Google Docs to prepare for the new devices they thought they were going to receive. I see this as a class action law suit to show the discrimination of students of lower income schools.
