Re: “On to 2020

I think Joyce Elliot would be an excellent candidate to run against Cotton in 2020. She has the witty, charismatic, take-nothing-from-nobody attitude that will be necessary to break through the well-funded Cotton re-election campaign.

Re: “On to 2020

Senator Joyce Elliot once spoke to one of my classes at UAMS and I was impressed in her passion for local schools and the people of Little Rock. I think she would make excellent candidate to challenge Senator Cotton in 2020 and think she would provide the witty, brawler-type character necessary to compete against the massive Cotton war chest and galvanize support.

Re: “Monday: Open line and news roundup

Silly question, but do we know if Senator Cotton receives funding from the private prison industry? It seems asinine to come out against the one piece of legislation that actually enacts long overdue prison reform and has garnered approval from Van Jones, former Obama aide and prison reform expert. Anyone else liking state Senator Joyce Elliot to challenge Cotton in 2020?

Re: “Predictions anyone? A couple of Arkansas races of interest

I voted for Warwick Sabin, but would I would not be disappointed if either Kurrus or Scott won. This is an interesting race compared to national politics in that we are really spoiled with several qualified candidates.
