Re: “Arkansas heritage department's open-door policy: It's the exit

Didn't take long to get to the personal attacks - the refuge for the weak-minded. Thank you for playing.

Sounds like you have us figured out. Now if you could just win some elections with your great ideas.

I would think we are talking about everyone's heritage? I guess I don't get your question.

Re: “Arkansas heritage department's open-door policy: It's the exit

I love how almost everyone jumps to the conclusion that longtime state employees being fired has to do with Stacy Hurst not doing a good job. Maybe these are employees that were allowed to skate by for years with very low expectations? Maybe they were such partisan hacks they undermined their new boss? What happened to being open-minded and considering that there may just be two sides to every story? I think Asa's administration is doing a great job and if Director Hurst can clean up DAH and create a more fiscally responsible agency that proudly and appropriately promotes/preserves Arkansas' heritage, it is a win.

Re: “Heritage director Hurst hires lawyer as deputy: update

I am betting that if she had been appointed by Beebe or were a known Democrat none of you would be crying about it or commenting on her hair. Really, her hair? The hypocrisy is amazing. A capable and highly educated professional gets hired by a state agency and you guys attack her hair? Another thing that comes to mind is how a law professor and one term senator is more than qualified to be POTUS but if a law professor is named deputy director of a state agency in Arkansas then she must be unqualified. As for the 3 1/2 years comment, I'd be willing to cover bets that Asa will be reelected.

Re: “We can do better, Little Rock

Clearly many people on this thread know better than the common unsophisticated consumer how best to spend their hard-earned food dollars. I really like one previous post mentioning pay rates. I wonder how many of the kitchen staff at SOMA or one of the other local restaurants are able to afford to feed their family of 4 if they must pay $9 per chicken sandwich. Be upset all you want but in a state with a rather low average income places like Chick-Fil-A thrive because they offer a great product at a reasonable price working people can afford. Sure it isn't locally grown hormone free chickens that were read poetry every night before bed, but who can afford that shit on a regular basis when they support a family on $20k per year.

Re: “We can do better, Little Rock

I think we have some excellent local restaurants and I frequent them but Chick-Fil-A is delicious for fast food. Most people either don't care about their politics or they agree with them but apparently many people think the chicken is a superior product. Good luck but I don't think you will be diminishing their sales with your rhetoric.
