Re: “Bible bill passes education committee

A TRULY ACADEMIC COURSE ON THE BOOKS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT WOULD PROBABLY NOT MOTIVATE TOO MANY CONVERSIONS. i DOUBT THAT THE SPONSORS OF THIS SILLY LEGISLATION ARE LEARNED PEOPLE OR THAT THEY KNOW VERY MUCH ABOUT THE "HIGHER CRITICISM." wHEN ONE BEGINS TO LEARN HOW THE "NEW tESTAMENT" WAS COBBLED TOGETHER (AN OBJECTIVE DESCRIPTION), HOW CRITICS SUCH AS ERASMUS DISCOVERED VERSES WHICH WERE ADDED SOME TIME AFTER THE COMPOSITION OF CERTAIN "BOOKS" OR "EPISTLES" IN ORDER TO SUPPORT SOME DOCTRINAL POINT OR OTHER, ONE BECOMES MORE ANALYTICAL A READER, NOT MORE PIOUS AND TRUSTING. nOT, i SUSPECT, WHAT THE SPONSORS HAVE IN MIND.
