Re: “Rally for the bishop? UPDATES

Geez, Jesus Child. All this sympathy for the Bishop, what about the poor fella whose wife the Bishop was banging. Why don't you send the husband a text and tell him how sad you feel for him.

Re: “'Inappropriate relationship' led to bishop's departure

It sounds like it's okay to some people for the minister to go screwing up and bring shame to your church, but let one children go out and embarass you, you would want to spank the hell out of them. Punish the pastor too.

Re: “'Inappropriate relationship' led to bishop's departure

Of course I am not that naive in the least bit. Just because it has happened before doesn't make it right. I think it happens in most churches and with most so called ministers. That wasn't my point at all. I am stating there needs to accountability and penalties to pay for doing anything that is not right, or unjust.

Re: “'Inappropriate relationship' led to bishop's departure

@4whatsright:

We don't have to shut the hell up. He cannot just run around here preaching and ministering to people in the name of Jesus while at the same time being involved in "indescretions." These are conscious decisions that he made which are wrong all in the name of Jesus. When we sin, breaking gods law, or breaking a man made law, there is a price to pay. These posts mocking him just be God's way of chastising him. So why don't you just shut the hell up and let him take his ridiculing. Do you have any feeling for the other people that were hurt in the process. Haven't heard no speak out about their healings. You may want to read I John 3: 4-9th verse and see how a righteous carries themselves.

Re: “'Inappropriate relationship' led to bishop's departure

Heard a lot of laughter last couple of weeks from people here in Arkansas about Bishop Long. These same people that were laughing at Long are now asking for sympathy for the Bishop here. Am I missing something, or is it a different level of indiscretion what matters to them.

Re: “'Inappropriate relationship' led to bishop's departure

Amazing. Already back in the pulpit preaching. Do you really people attending these services will be listening to what he will be spewing out of his mouth concerning salvation, or will their personal thoughts of him be a distraction. It's kind of hard to ignore when it's right there in front of you. What a rough 3 days he was quoted as saying he was going to have to go through.
