Re: “When is an Indian not an Indian?

The not being recognized does not mean that you do have Cherokee blood or not. As history shows, there have been pockets of Natives that did not leave their lands. The Seminole is the same case. I learned that I am 1/16th Cherokee heritage. My great Grand mother was a Dollarway. In 1992, after being electrocuted at work, I had to see a neuro to see why I am not healing right. It was discovered that my spinal cord is compressing on my nerves. The doctor said he only saw this in men of Asian or Native Americans.
As the last I heard, the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma would bring some of in on their roles who could be verified.

Re: “No, Obamacare hasn't produced huge increases in everyone's health insurance

Okay, the Republicans also need to ask why doctors and hospitals are refusing to accept health insurance companies like from United, Aetna and some others? There are doctors, hospitals and clinics refuse to take them because of not getting payments from them. This goes way before ACA was put in place. As it is, United is not accepted around the Russellville area. United announced that they are pulling out of Arkansas this year. It had nothing to do with ACA. It had to do with their long practice of not paying the doctors, hospitals, clinics and pharmacies in this state.
