I believe people currently have a choice as to which school their children attend. They may have to provide transportation and apply to be accepted but they have a choice. What these folks are looking to do is provide government subsidies to allow attendance at a private school. If the parents feel that it is in their child's best interest they can foot the bill themselves. I personally don't feel it is cost effective to send a child to a private school over a public school. I a parent stays involved with their child's education they can be certain they will get the education necessary to succeed in the world. Most parents want to send their kids to school and not be bothered anymore with their education expecting the education system to take care of all the demands.
