Re: “Who are the West Memphis Three?

I wonder how the judge, the prosecutor and the police officers (who were originally involved in this case) can look at themselves in the mirror. I am surprised they can sleep at night. The Arkansas Supreme Court rightfully saw the need to see justice properly served. What did the present prosecutor do? The Alford plea!!! Heaven forbid the State of Arkansas pay for the injustice of convicting three innocent teenagers! In all fairness, it is NOT about the money; however, it IS about justice! The very least the State of Arkansas can do ... to right their wrong ... is to EXONERATE Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley. Clear their names! The ENTIRE WORLD is watching and waiting to see if true justice will be served. It is the right thing to do!!! To turn a blind eye on the scales of justice is not only horribly unbelievable ... it is truly unforgivable! You say the case is closed? I think not! The present State Attorney, Mr. Ellington, should do what he said he would do - look at the new evidence and re-open this case to convict the killer(s) of those three precious little 8-year-old boys. In doing so, he will have finally moved in the right direction to give closure to everyone involved in this case. Additionally, Mr. Ellington will bring new confidence and integrity to himself for the office he now holds. Since he has decided to run for another office, the Arkansas voters in his district will be ready to see him win ... or ... lose. The decision is clearly up to Mr. Ellington.
