That little community school referred to in the article was known as Carver Intermediate when I attended 5th and 6th grade in the late 70's. Growing up in Leawood, I was bussed to Carver during the time the Wilbur Mills freeway was being built. The Interstate was complete to the Children's Hospital exit. I got quite an education at that school, in more ways than one.
