Re: “Civil Service Commission clears Little Rock cop who beat bar customer

Please note 2 things...1) you are wrong on the votes, it is disappointing that you would not have verified your information prior to printing this. I am sure that you realize that many of us who subscribe to and read your articles, assumes, that which we read is correct and when it is not, it can be damaging and the toothpaste is difficult to put back in the bottle. I would therefore request you do further research and correct your record. 2) there is no relation between Chairman Hudson and Lt. Hudson, I know you did not indicate they were, but I think it important to know they are not and is part of the record. Thanks in advance

Re: “LRSD responds to study claims

Coolbreeze 101,

You are correct, it is my understanding that UALR has been sent an FOIA request and has yet to respond. I also understand that Dr. Trevino-Richards has finally sent the study to LRSD although throughout these articles he says he sent them everything. Now that LRSD has the study, I am hopeful that they will come up with solutions to stop these acts and any administrators or adults who knowingly did nothing would be held accountable.

Re: “LRSD responds to study claims

Several Points:
* I don't think any God fearing person would relish the fact that any child is/has been mistreated
* I would assume that even some on the side of segregation did not like the way the students of the Little Rock 9 were treated
* I respect Dr. Holmes' stance in admitting that this information could be true and he set in place a system to understand it, fix it and hold people accountable
* I certainly appreciate Dr. Trevnio-Richards for taking on such a worthy cause
* I disagree with Dr. Trevnio-Richards when he refuses to provide the raw empirical data which allegedly supports his executive summary. There are many PHd's at LRSD who would not be "Confused" by the raw data.
* In addition to understanding the data, there may have been crimes committed (non-reporting) by administrators who need to be held accountable. In addition if Dr. Trevnio-Richards and his wife were told of crimes against children and did not report it, they too should be held accountable
* I would hope that this study from 2007 and now coming to light in 2012 is not disingenuous on Dr. Trevnio-Richards part to position himself for some type of consulting contract from the district. Time will show if this information is true, but also self-serving
* Lastly, as the author of this article I was shocked to know that Mr. Koon was absent from the press conference, when he could have asked Dr. Holmes all the questions he wanted and the public could have heard for themselves the responses. I would hope that this article was not half researched and/or slanted to serve Mr. Koon's personal or professional interests.
