Re: “Crowds flock to Cheddar's

Excepting for its anchor tenant (Target), the so-called "Park Avenue" shopping center is a lost opportunity writ large. It is a 20th century center in every respect. -- its ugly, uninspired design and its unimaginative, commonplace, boring, cookie-cutter, podunk collection of tenants. That Cheddar's "from scratch" plates of fat would spark a "rush" or excitement speaks volumes about where Little Rock (and the state) is and shall remain: at the bottom rungs of the big world out there nationally & globally. "Park Avenue" the center decidedly is not.

Re: “The Second City 'hilarious' at Rep

Beg to differ. Second City was anything but "improv" (which, pronounced as the content of the encore, was pathetic). The "local" references were insulting (unless, e.g., you weren't from "Pine Bluff") and/or superficial. The basically canned skits were unimaginative, uninspired, often cheap and cliched, and a far cry from clever or cutting edge. The take-away was just a totally flat and disappointing feeling, a waste of money. Dumbfounded at what struck some as "hilarious". Surely the Rep can do better than to continue to schedule a clearly second-rate "touring" company.
