  • Central Arkansas Water asks Exxon to relocate pipeline

The board of the Central Arkansas Water utility met today and, as expected, adopted a resolution asking for information from Exxon Mobil about causes of the pipeline rupture at Mayflower and for assurances about future safe operation before the Pegasus pipeline is restarted.

  • I bet Tim Griffin did hustle out to the pipeline oil spill

I think it's worth a separate bit of attention to the pipeline break and crude oil spill, which apparently followed an explosion.

Re: “Kanis development decried

Take the "K" off of "Kanis" Road and you will have the proper sounding word.

Re: “UPDATE: Judge temporarily stays removal of tenants from apartments held unsafe

Arkansas: Where Slumlords Rule! And follow the dictum of Arkansas Governor Marion Futrell, who stated during the Great Depression that "The Poor are not worth the powder and lead it would take to BLOW OUT THEIR BRAINS." Nothing has changed in Arkansas, from that Depression to this current one.

Re: “The Medicaid lockout: Gov. Asa Hutchinson's proposal to bar beneficiaries from coverage for six months if they miss premium payments

How much did Asa pay for stale advice from an out-of-state consulting firm?

Re: “American Electric Power leaves ALEC over clean power

Please look a bit deeper into the proposed "Clean Line" mega-transmission project that would cut Arkansas in half. There's really nothing "clean" about it, from the unprecedented eminent domain takeover of countless family farms, to the unnecessary electric transmission that the TVA doesn't even want or need, to the 200-foot-wide trench that would cut across every major watershed in the Natural State. Please look into it! It's DIRTY.

Re: “Power line environmental study released; to carry wind power across Arkansas

Dust in the wind... The Sierra Club declared Arkansas "expendable...a flyover state" back when they caved in on a lawsuit that they were winning (lawsuit against the Hempstead coal-fired power plant.) By advocating the largest eminent-domain takeover and clearcut hundreds of miles long, Sierra has proven their wholesale sellout of the Natural State to Big Energy. And btw:the "Clean" wind farms do not exist.
