Re: “Another 3,815 tossed from Medicaid thanks to challenged work rule

I wonder just how many of those 12,128 realize that they have no coverage ?? Yes, some do, but I would venture to say that a large number of them do not have any knowledge that they are without coverage. Unfortunately, they will not know that until they show up at the doctors office or in the hospital. Fantastic news for our State...less healthy individuals & families in addition to more unreimbursed expenses for our Hospitals. Who ends up winning - nobody !!!

Re: “Speaking of corporate welfare: Remember that Chinese pulp mill?

Max, your last paragraph says it all. Arkansas will always be held back as long as we do not adapt to more progressive States which have seen the light on the issues you have mentioned.

Re: “The attack on teachers started in 2017. Joyce Elliott tried to slow the train. Warwick Sabin voted against her.

So Dullrazor, if you feel that way about the teachers in the low ranked schools in Little Rock, why dont we just fire everyone of them in all of those other 180 or so schools in the State which received similar bad grades. I dare say that you have never been a teacher and especially one who has taught children who are more disadvantaged than you ever thought about being. I havent been but have a wife who has taught for over 40 years as have many other friends who have firsthand knowledge about what kids face outside of the schoolroom. Try walking a mile in their shoes before being so critical. Why dont you get involved in activities that might lead to better parenting, a better environment, and kids who go to school on an empty belly, or with a sore tooth, or so many other problems ? Teachers do this daily ! Why dont you step up and lend a hand ??!!!

Re: “Susan Inman rips John Thurston for boat purchase

Upon more closely reading the Blue Hog Report on this issue, I see that then Senator Jon Woods was a co-sponsor of a House Bill which gave the impetus for the Land Commissioner to make this purchase. Was there possibly a kickback somewhere in these purchases ??!!! Me thinks that someone with some time on their hands should check out EVERY Legislative Bill on which the name Jon Woods appears. Who knows what other hair brained schemes of his might show up!!!

Re: “Susan Inman rips John Thurston for boat purchase

Bottom line is that Thurston bought a boat & equipment 4 years ago at a cost of $30,000. The boat has only officially been used 6 times. Were there other non-official uses over the past 4 years ??? That amounts to $7,500 per year or $5,000 per use. NOBODY (D or R) can defend that kind of waste of taxpayer $$$ !!!!! Also, did a State Owned Vehicle pull that sucker or was it a Privately Owned Vehicle and where were those 6 (or more) excursions ???!!!!!

Re: “UPDATE: The Kavanaugh nomination and male privilege moves ahead. But wait...

DBI, thanks for the info re. Impeachment of a SCOTUS. You state they shall hold their offices DURING good behavior.....what about (1) bad behavior that occurred before his/her confirmation and/or (2) if after confirmation, it is found out that the nominee lied during the vetting process orthe Hearing ??

Re: “UPDATE: The Kavanaugh nomination and male privilege moves ahead. But wait...

There are legal remedies for the removal of a POTUS, but are there any methods available to remove a sitting Supreme Court Justice besides death or resignation by ones self ??? This situation might also be one that provides an impetus to establish term limits for the United States Congress. Let the signing of petitions calling for a Term Limits Amendment to the United States Constitution begin !!!
