Re: “ACLU investigating Mills High showing of 'Passion of the Christ,' teacher's classroom rant about 'liberalism' after complaints

I am also a student at Mills, but I am not a member of any of his classes. I have heard multiple stories of this man bullying students with foreign names, preaching to students, as well as refusing to take down a Confederate flag that offended students in his room. I do not disagree that he may have been a great coach, but his teaching in the classroom is completely offensive to any student that is not a white conservative. Since this is highschool, many of us are NOT white confederates. The students that are defending this man are the same students who posted rants on facebook saying that black history month was offensive to white students and Dr. Martin Luther King needs to "shut his old black ass up". What this man was teaching to his students was NOT okay. It is fine to have strong beliefs, but it is NOT fine to force them upon students.
