Bible knowledge?
Read Matthew 6:24 -- then look at Huckabee's choices in life and tell me whom he serves.

Re: “Permit request withdrawn for LGBTQ homeless transitional housing after nonprofit receives threatening letter

@ baker -

At the risk of boring other subscribers to death (or inciting them to riot), I must make this final comment to your infinitismal, insignificant, and interminable rantings and ravings.

Some of my friends and acquaintances in Little Rock and vicinity who regularly contribute to these discussion boards have advised that I have engaged in an exercise of futility that you are "never wrong" and that when proved to be wrong, will hedge and dodge and manipulate words in order to prove that you are right. The primary example in this case is your personal interpretation of my initial contribution to this thread to illustrate your own false conclusion that I am an expert on neighborhoods, which anyone with only half a brain could recognize as support for Penelope Popper's decision to choose another location. My favorite piece of advice received from a former neighbor in Little Rock was this: "Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience." [ George Carlin]

Is it possible that you are a political advisor for President Trump? If not, consider applying for the job. You are very adept at twisting facts to suit your own agenda and then changing your position when exposed and telling more lies to cover when even those lies are challenged, ad infinitum. I'm certain Number 45 could find use for a person with such expertise to replace any one of the people whom he has fired over the course of the last few months.

Out of curiosity, I decided to check a few of your (current at this writing) 940 posts, and what did I find? I found a very negative person. I found a person who thrives on contention and belittling other posters, a typical pre-adolescent mind. I likely found a troubled person who should ask his/her psychoanalyst to up the dosage of his/her prescriptions. I found a person who could well be a white supremacist and is most definitely a racist, as exemplified by the denigration of such personages as Sharpton, Jackson, and other prominent black leaders. [05/14/2011 at 10:42 AM] That judgment is further supported by this: "It's NOT enough to be a member of the party headed by the black man with the funny name to get elected in Arkansas and it's pathetic and should be embarrassing to continue that ploy." [05/25/2011 at 2:00 PM]

Even more evidence was found here: Notwithstanding it [sic] being the federal government's traditional role as sole authority on immigration matters" the wonks in central planning have not lived up to their supposed intentions and have been uncovered. Their true aim is a new and grateful voting block to be press-ganged into service and this has been fore-stalled [sic]. Contorted to note that activists are now wanting to usurp tradition and that's a bad thing. Also. it is not anti-immigrant but rather anti-oxymoronic. [05/26/2011 at 2:14 PM]

I found a person who is so desperate for attention that s/he is willing to waste other people's time posting garbage. I know that I've wasted too much of my own with your nonsense, nothing of which has contributed to the purpose of the article above, nor served any edifying function. (After reviewing the first thirty-six of your comments, I gave it up.)

As a result, I will turn my attentions elsewhere and ignore your crap, wherever it might be encountered.

However, I will offer the following with regard to your question, "It would seem that punctuation and spacing can be lost and/or altered on posting. Is there a fix to this irritation?":

Yes, it's called proof-reading. This site gives you a five-minute chance to edit your comment prior to posting, if you care to review and make needed corrections. Pay attention.

Re: “Permit request withdrawn for LGBTQ homeless transitional housing after nonprofit receives threatening letter

@ baker -

Once again, you prove my premise: You obviously don't understand English constructs. You appear to be unable to read with comprehension, and you certainly are unable to write intelligibly. The word "ignorance," which I used to illustrate your lack of knowledge, puposely called attention to the fact that you are ignorant (have no knowledge) of my location. Perhaps you can explain how that is not factual? Your taking it out of context does not negate the truth of the matter. You claim to make it comprehensible with: "... can be answered simply and with what better words than your own [sic]." How might those quotes of mine which you offer help any reader understand what your intent was in the passage I previously quoted (which was not taken out of context)? It still doesn't make any sense.

Likewise, "... it seems incomprehensible to you in a more respectful tone" makes you appear as if English is not your native language. What are you trying to say? Find someone to help you formulate your thoughts intelligently so that others can comprehend your meaning. Try using words that you understand. Put them into an order that enables others to be able to decipher the meaning of what you are trying to convey. You are writing gibberish!

Finally, I would address your comment "... on the topic of neighborliness, or the lack there of [sic], about which you express such expertise." I challenge you to find anything I've posted that substantiates that accusation, as well as any of the other slights you have thrown in my direction. For example, what gave rise to the remark, "Not in my backyard"?

Oh, well -- you can continue to make things up as you go. It makes you look like an utter fool.

With each of your pathetic comments, you illustrate an inability to comprehend the English language, so perhaps you should submit future comments in Spanish (Bien hecho!) -- or French -- or even German. You obviously have no comprehension skills in English, for I have nowhere indicated that the LBGT community is unwelcome anywhere, in spite of your contention that I might "... deny our homeless LGBT youth and young adults the opportunity to develop life skills and get back on their feet in sunny Mexico as well as certain Little Rock neighborhoods." How did you arrive at that conclusion?

Au contraire, I ridiculed the position of the original letter-writer by suggesting that these individuals might well be better off in a locale that avoids that person of hate and bigotry and her neighbors of like mind.

Perhaps you could find someone to help you translate the following verbiage of yours into comprehensible English, for your meaning escapes me: "You are correct that I am in ignorance of your neighborhood reasoning but then your interpretation of my own domicile is most indicative of your perspective for anyone other than yourself." Maybe if you would express yourself using your native tongue it could be of help.

The fact remains that I find the expressions in the letter received by Penelope Poppers completely reprehensible and your remarks ridiculing comments condemning such attitude equally so. (Para su edificacion permitanme confirmar que en realidad soy un residente permanente de Mexico.)

For all you know, I might live in Mexico -- but you want a list of "potential locations" in my neighborhood in spite of your ignorance. Glaringly obvious is that you yourself have not been "forthcoming with a location list" in your neighborhood. It appears that you are all blow and no show. Why don't you crawl back under your rock?

Whereas your comments are ludicrous and facetious, others take the subject matter more seriously.
