Re: “Little Rock officer injured in hit-and-run UPDATE

This man was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He came to Little Rock to better himself. He not only did that but he bettered his peers and EVERYONE on campus. This is no common criminal or thug...this beautiful black soul is an UNCF scholar, a mentor, and alumn of the college. If you know him... you know he was never in trouble, always walked around with a smile and made sure that he took care of everyone around him. To portray this man as a threat to society and not an innocent bystander who was stuck along with the cop is disgusting...The faculty and staff know this man...THE TRUE STUDENT THAT walked on that campus for 4 years. Why have we not made a statement uplifting his name? They have slandered the name and reputation that he has built for 25 years. He was celebrating life in a way he thought was safe. The definition of homecoming is "the return of a group of people on a special occasion to a place formerly called HOME". Key word HOME! This man thought he was safe and at home! He is not an intruder. The intruder was the man that struck these two individuals. I am not going to slander the police or question If he was doing his job correctly. I am only bringing light to the man that they have conjured up in their minds. They don't know him and they don't want to know him....My HBCU needs to stop this madness and release a statement...and act like they know their alumni..
