Re: “Michelle Duggar and the Family Council try to torpedo Fayetteville non-discrimination ordinance with lies

Insightful observations. This piece got me wondering, I don't recall the FRC having much to say about protecting daughters from rape in other contexts that don't involve opposition to nondiscrimination ordinances. So here are the top results from three Google searches on topics that would be primary concerns to any sensible public interest group that concerns itself with families. Links are probably disallowed in comments so you're welcome to try this yourselves; it's startling.

1. Family Research Council incest
Robert Gagnon of FRC giving a lecture where he calls gay sex worse than incest.

2. Family Research Council child abuse
An FRC statement that links homosexuality to pedophilia.

3. Family Research Council rape
The FRC claims that expanded contraceptive access will increase incidents of rape.

The FRC's positions aren't even internally consistent: they think Plan B birth control would increase college date rape, yet they also supported former US Representative Todd Akin when he claimed that rape cannot cause pregnancy.

These assertions are out of step (to say the least) with mainstream findings.
