Re: “Security plan approved for 10 Commandments

I hope they hurry up and get this monument and protection installed so the courts can take it down. Install it at a Church somewhere. I'm sure there are plenty of Church's around that would love to have such an impressive monument to call their own.

Re: “Another Obama reversal from Donald Trump: On elephant trophy hunting

I think there might be some bullshit arguments going on for "evidence that the hunting actually benefits conservation" Elephants, bears, giraffes, etc. - I will never understand the desire or appeal to kill these types of animals.

Re: “Judge could rule today on suit over grocery store wine sales

One lobbying group screwing over another lobbying group. That's how we roll in American Government.

Re: “County approves bike trail

Baker,

Have you been down to the Big Damn Bridge or the trail in NRL? There are folks from all walks of life, elitist as you say, to families that drove old cars or trucks to get there. White, black, Indian, Asian and everything in between. That is a bullshit comment.

Re: “Police identify suspect, officer in carjacker shooting

I was mistaken. I missed the part about the man driving the car towards the officer (I do see that in the report with a second, more careful read) In that case, yes it would be reasonable to assume he was an imminent danger. My apologizes the the office and family.

Re: “Police identify suspect, officer in carjacker shooting

I was not there and don't want to judge. But, it seems like police officers are trained to say, "I feared for my life, so I fired my weapon." I'm trying to visualize the officer giving commands to exit the vehicle and when he did not, that is when he became fearful for his life. Maybe he was justified in shooting the guy, but why not shoot a tire or something before he shot him in the arm?
