Passing a comprehensive climate bill is in the best interest of the majority of Arkansas residents. I really hope that Senators Lincoln and Pryor avoid partisan politics and do what is right for their constituents and the world. Reducing our dependence on oil from hostile foreign nations will benefit our national security; it will also create thousands of domestic “new energy” jobs. Not to mention the public health benefits brought about by cleaner air. Opponents of climate legislation are largely misinformed or they are beholden to big businesses, who don’t want to loose their ability to pollute for free.
