Re: “Monday night line

Someone asked where can you find 30 acres in Little Rock that has the same infrastructure and the features needed for the Tech Park. Easy. We drive by it everyday- War Memorial Golf Course. It has more than the capacity and meets the Tech Board's specifications. It has the least disparate impact on the community and even has the water feature.

Everyone knows the course has been losing money for years. We also know Little Rock is saturated with quality golf courses. So why maintain something that's losing money? Is that good business or good government?

If the City Board and the Tech Park Board are serious about fiscal responsibility and communities, this site becomes an opportunity. The City will recoup it's investment losses in a few years if the Tech Park is really the acclaimed investment. In addition it can still maintain aestetic green space.

Besides it is our tax dollars. We should be able to have say in where our tax dollars go; and we say WAR MEMORIAL Technology Park.
