Re: “The line is open

"Ginseng" one of my football coaches at the small Indiana high school I attended used to take me squirrel hunting. He kept a specially carved stick in his belt, made to uproot ginseng plants when he found them.

Re: “In Wilkins corruption plea, unnamed 'Senator A' appears to be Jeremy Hutchinson

Same guy who didn't know his married brother and roommate was f*cking a female staff member at the same time said guy was prosecuting another man for cheating on his wife. Of course he didn't know (eyeroll)

Re: “State launches effort to educate doctors on pain management in effort to curb opioid prescriptions

What's amazing to me is that those with legitimate pain issues must jump through hoops to get medication, because other people are addictive personalities.
At least we can be assured that our god given right to semi automatic weapons is still there.

Re: “UA Little Rock responds to "racially insensitive incident" involving video of fraternity and sorority

Face slap, eye roll...I attended UALR a long time ago, and I was aggressively recruited into Pi Kappa Alpha. I signed up as a pledge, and made it through one semester before un-pledging.
I quickly began to see that my fellow pledges were willing to ditch whatever individuality that they may have possessed in order to be identified as part of the "cool" group. At the meetings, our pledgemasters assured us that the 18 year olds seated around us would be our lifelong friends. I remember thinking, "I can't stand 90% of these dipshits".
One day, I overheard the officers saying that they wanted to repair the rutted, rough parking lot at the Pike house. I made a phone call to the scale house at Granite Mountain Quarry, and within 2 hours, there were giant piles of SB2 gravel dumped by big trucks. It was then announced that the pledge class would be required to spread the gravel by rake and shovel. I informed the pledgemasters that I had paid for the gravel, and if they thought I would be participating in spreading it, they were out of their collective rabbit-assed mind.
At the end of the semester, I transferred to Arkansas College, where there were no fraternities :)
