Re: “After the fireworks, some find cars towed

Yes indeed this did happen and my car was towed. I parked in the AWCC parking lot knew the business was closed, there was no sign stating if you parked there you would be towned. The paid parking areas were full at 9:20pm when I made it down town. My car was not parked for not even an hour before it was towned. Someone was just sittting and waiting for people to park in the AWCC parking lot to just tow and make money from the predatory towing.
We see the commercials on TV saying "Ohh come on down to down town and support the community and watch the fireworks. This is not community support when you have a government entity towing cars that were parked for less than an hour in their parking lot. This is predatory towing and the city of little Rock has not heard the last of this. For the business owners that were making the commits if people like myself did not travel down town to the events you would not have ANY business! What happened to community support? A lady that served in Iraq came to the parking lot where myself and may others were looking for our missing cars at 10:00 pm and she made a true statement that people in Iraq treat their people better than the businesses in Litltle Rock treated their customers. I lived in Austin, TX and Houston TX and during community events if a business was CLOSED they supported the community and allowed the customers to park in their parking lots for the events. AWCC and Callway towing were just out to ripe the public off. The worst part of this story, a couple with a young baby parked in a space close to the location I was in. Their car was towed as well as hundreds others. The young couple had a young bady that had a medical condition and the childs medication and milk was in the car. CAll Way towing refused to let the couple get their belongings from the car and told them they had to wait until 9:00 am the next morning and charged the hundreds of people 220 dollars for the towing. So do the math. Laws were passed in 2005 to stop predatory towing.
