Re: “2017 Best of Arkansas editors' picks

I could not agree more on the lovely wackiness of Drug Emporium! I was there one day and found that I could buy jars of beef tallow, duck fat, and rendered lard. Nice upscale looking stuff, too. I limited myself to just the duck fat and my popcorn has benefited!

Re: “Can I get an amen?

He could go get an actual real job and stay out of White House matters. It's a thought....

Re: “Lend me your ears: 'Julius Caesar' opens at UCA tonight

Saw the Arkansas Shakespeare production last night and it was very well-done, per their usual. I like the sitting on the stage seating, even when I'm on the side instead of center stage. Good conceptualizing, good acting, passionate players working their craft. Highly recommend it!

Re: “Uber CEO resigns. For good reason.

Not to mention surge pricing. If you're at an event that lasts late into the night and your only choice is paying quadruple the fare or walking 40 miles, guess what, you pay up. And make plans to NEVER use that service again.

Re: “The Root Cafe is now for dinner

Had dinner there last night. The radish dish is incredible. I wish I'd ordered two. The short ribs were very good and not heavy. The strawberry basil cake was just about perfect.

Re: “School activist says no to LR tax; backers hope for low black voter turnout

I never vote against a task that goes for schools. Ever. I've always felt that it was more important to support schools than to have a bit more in my pocket. This one, however, isn't so easy.
If passed, there is no guarantee that the areas which NEED extra funding will get it. There is no way for the public to have input since Mr. Key rules alone. If NOT passed, however, the schools which are crumbling will continue to do so, while the well-supported schools will continue to do well. And IF public input is accepted, it will be pointed out "well, we can only do what we can...YOU didn't give us any more money".

Re: “Clinton a clear winner in first debate. But .....

I didn't watch the debate because I knew she would have good points to make and he would act like a three year old. Sadly, I doubt either side won or lost many votes. There is absolutely NOTHING he could say to make me think he has good ideas, a shred of competency, or any sanity. His voters will never listen to her points because, well, she's evil.
I read Scott Adams's blog (Dilbert creator) and he's done a lot of writing on Donnie's rise. It's scary and makes me very fearful for this country's future.
