Re: “State school chief makes it clear: Charters more important than LRSD

Just for the record, when people who are claiming to seek clarity of "cloudy" issues such as these, provide clues as to how faux out of touch with the reality that they really are.
There has been a presumptive sentiment concerning the "teacher's union" that needs to be addressed. The union does not protect or promote sub-part performance within its own ranks. Student achievement is the number one priority. They pay dues to keep having to empty their own pockets (which most still do willingly), to provide Arkansas students with the tools to achieve success.
You should find more sympathy for these individuals who work in public schools, who have CHOSEN to work with any and every student. It just so happens that the students' learning environment happens to be their working environment. Public schools don't get to cherry pick who gets allowed in.
PLEASE take of your rose-colored glasses, or quit behaving like "Pollyanna". If you are that much in the dark about the real goings-on here, let's try to get real for a minute.
You take a former lobbyist for vouchers. This person is not even certified to be the State Superintendent, so the "gang that couldn't shoot straight" gives him a pass to allow him to continue, with oversight over all public schools. Why? Simple answer: $$$$. Especially when this person supports taking tax dollars and funneling them into Charter schools,Home schools or vouchers- which puts $$$ into basically a private business, by stating they can do better..... (check the records on that claim).
These same private companies that are feeding from the public trough, use much of their profits to buy elected official's vote, so they all can get fatter ( and getting to cherry pick who they will choose to enroll).
Meanwhile, back at the ranch , some people think if we can get rid of the elected school board and turn it over to Mr. Uncertified and the gang that can't shoot straight, and sell it to citizens who don't have the money to fight it, then "fait accompli" for those private interests.
Maybe the Union Bosses, that Uncle Hussmann keeps criticizing, can keep the pinheads among you ill-informed about this raid on taxpayer funds by the current elected/appointed crooks in state government, then Arkansans will reach the ultimate goal - being poor and undereducated as well.
Maybe it is too late already based on your anti-union rhetoric, but there's always the only thing that was left in "Pandora's Box": Hope.

Re: “House passes measure to block Satanic monument

I am hoping that other religious groups push for pyramids, statues of Buddha, Stonehenge replicas, etc to be placed on the Caitol grounds. It will just add a more "Carnival-like" atmosphere in addition to the already present clowns. Might even be able to get a few of Ringling Bros. now useless animals, or Kellyanne Conway on the cheap.

Re: “Speaker Gillam's bill to gut ethics law sails through House

Hey, free laptops aren't subject to being FOIA'd. This just lets these heathens practice their "Alternate Ethics" to the next level. Maybe we can distract the public by getting the Dim-Gazzette to focus on the "Eureka Springs Massacre".
Looks like Civil War II is on a fast track.

Re: “Sen. John Boozman: Hypocrite of the week

Unite? Like he and his "daisy-chain" of Sarkansas Congressmen have done for the last 8 years?
I'm all for uniting with other thinking humans to oppose everything that these shills try to pass for the next 4 years under Comrade Trump.
