Re: “Federal judge wants John Goodson to explain class action maneuvering

Dear Gwen Moritz, Editor of the Arkansas Business Journal.

I don't think John Goodson should be immune from critical reporting, but we should all take a moment and consider that he is just another hard working man trying to make a fair living to support his new family. Everyone has a right to make a living without that kind of scrutiny. What if Courtney Goodson's second husband was a plumber? Would you be reporting every time one of his pipes broke and caused a leak? John may have a leaky pipe in federal court, but what of it? Although John Goodson may have many cases that go up to the Arkansas Supreme Court and although the Arkansas courts seem to have made Goodson and Goodson's friends hundreds of millions of dollars, I just don't see the connection to Courtney Goodson. No one cares when a hedge fund guy makes billions. It's not like any of those law firms have donated money to Judge Goodson. I am sure there are many other Arkansas judges married to attorneys making millions of dollars based on Arkansas law. I am sure she doesn't even know what John is working on, and it is not like she really benefits if John makes a bunch of money. I am 100% sure that when Courtney Goodson recuses on one of her husbands cases, there is absolutely no opportunity for her to influence the decision or even know about what is going to happen at the Court. I heard Justice Kemp's wife mislabeled psalms at her church last week and she is up for sanctions by the church council. Report on that why don't you?
