Re: “Bill Stovall gets his degree

I don't see how this news prompts anything other than "Congratulations!" To finish up a degree while employed in any capacity takes hard work and commitment. Good for him!

Re: “New plan on congressional districts UPDATE

Ohyeah summed it up perfectly. Max - your assessment that Fayetteville voters opposing the finger did so based on "sentiment not reason" is rich. You get more condescending with each post. I guess all those who see things differently than you do are unreasonably idiots. And as for feeling sorry for Greg, no can do. Greg was elected by us, to represent us - yes - Fayetteville. Not you, Brummett, or Will Bond. Keep patting him on the back for his party loyalty. It won't get him too far at home.

Re: “The legislature: winners and losers

Max - Of course the fine folks of Sebastian County get a vote. Their representatives have actually been speaking up for them. My biggest gripe in this thing is that Madison and Leding - both of whom I voted for - are ignoring Fayetteville voters. I could stomach that we might take the hit if they weren't sandbagging us.

Clark Hall said they didn't put Sebastion in because Sebastian County voiced their opposition to being moved, and Fayetteville was "the path of least resistance." That's because Madison and Leding rolled over. But please do not insult the intelligence of anyone paying attention to this thing by pretending that Clark Hall's plan is the only one that made sense. Extending the region closer to the borders make a lot more sense than weaving "the finger" up to Fayetteville. Hall just prevented any other plan but his from seeing the light of day and Sue Madison then uses her committee chair position to be "neutral." No redistricting is not easy, but this is pretty pathetic.

Re: “The legislature: winners and losers

Also interesting that McDaniel has decided it is time to distance himself from this brilliant plan...

Re: “The legislature: winners and losers

Not a surprise coming from Brummett - though he is ignoring the 80% of Fayetteville opposed. It is not just the chamber of commerce crowd. In fact, Brummett should call some of the die-hard Dems in Fayetteville he has referred to as friends in the past. He'll get an earful.

Re: “Legislature back for redistricting UPDATE

You left out "Will Sue Madison start acting as if she were elected to represent Fayetteville?"

Re: “Legislature extended until Monday

I can only hope the Senate can add some sanity to the plan. (of course, the references to sane senators does NOT include Sue Madison.)
