Re: “Blytheville attorney files civil rights lawsuit over police taser incident

A clear case of contempt of cop. Shoot first and make up a lie to cover your ass later.
Law enforcement officers choose to be in the line of work they are in, if it's too scary or dangerous....? Go pick fruit in the orchards, cotton from the fields, or mow someone's lawn for a living.
The day that blue privilege is revoked and officers and their leadership are held civilly liable and criminally responsible for their actions to the letter of the law like everyone else.... Is the day when citizens begin to trust again.
Mark my words, this officer will receive no discipline, not be indicated, and will get a nice paid administration leave all while the city (the hard working taxpayers) pay off a huge civil settlement.
What is it going to take for people to insist that equal rights means equal rights? That the laws apply to cops just like fast food workers or CEO's?
When will people stop apologizing for the illegal actions of police just because it's a tough job, "the guy wasn't cooperative", "I was scared ", and the 1000000 other excuses used?
