Re: “UCA Board buying out Meadors' contract for $525,000

Awesome, another day, another devastating scandal that shakes the institution to the core and demoralizes the students, staff, and faculty of one of Arkansas's public universities.

I wish someone would write a story about the people who make UCA run, not the bottom-feeders at the top who seemingly do nothing but gobble down at the public trough. All that money spent on sidewalks and improvements to the President's house? What about the people busting their asses for $18k a year who built all that shit and keep it maintained? What about the staff who interact with the students every single day, making sure their needs outside of class are met? What about the faculty (who really, don't make all that much, considering the money they spent to get their advanced degrees) teaching the students, many of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds? Or the students themselves?

It's like there's two UCAs. One of them constantly fucks up and gets Debra Hale-Shelton sent to Wingo on a daily basis, and the other one is everywhere on campus actually getting shit done.
