Re: “Murder and the mayor's race

Do NOT encourage Lance Hines to run for Mayor. The only greenspace left will be in the well groomed yards of west Little Rock.

Re: “Justice, Arkansas style: Discrimination continues on birth certificates

To the newborn's parents: I am so sorry awful Arkansas is giving you trouble. Love is stronger than hate so keep loving your family fiercely and you will win. Congratulations!!

Re: “Little Rock native to lead Oberlin College

Thanks Kate! "Oberlin has, among other things, a music program second to none." My son is a Oberlin conservatory grad and a happily employed composer.
FYI to Baker! I can't deny some town-gown racial tension, but you should know Oberlin has a very long history of striving for equality. It was one among the first colleges to admit black and women students. Academics are competitive and the course work is rigorous. Go visit -- see for yourself.

Re: “LR City Board talks about crime and gang violence

Appreciated Tavis Smiley's informative interview with Guardian newspaper editor Gary Younge about gun violence and youth homicide in America today. In case you missed this afternoon's KUAR broadcast, here's the link: http://www.tavissmileyradio.com/gary-young…

Re: “Little Rock leadership misses its fault in tax woes

The unchecked growth of apartments and unsightly commercial development like Lowes' giant wall on Kanis and Bowman is permitted without a thought to livability. By livability, I mean attractive, well-planned streets, as well as the provision of parks, greenspace, and other amenities in areas with increasingly dense populations. Lack of thoughtful growth along with rising crime drives existing residents out of the city. It doesn't surprise me that surrounding counties reap sales taxes while LR laments its declining budget. Can anyone spell IMPACT FEES?

Re: “Millions march in massive show of resistance to Trump

Joke is on Huckabee --whining by narcissist liars only serves to raise the engagement of those who love truth, equality, and human rights.
