Re: “Atheists' bus ads now on Little Rock streets

Defacing of such bus ads is actually a rare occurrence. But no worries, we already purchased extras (as we always do) so that any defaced ones can be quickly replaced in a matter of hours. Thus nobody will gain anything by such an action.

Re: “Irony abounds as religion arises

Why would someone who doesn't believe in a god want to advertise? Because, just like churchgoers, atheists and agnostics enjoy fellowship with those of like mind. So they form clubs. And then they advertise those clubs so other atheists and agnostics will join. That way the club becomes bigger and more fun. Is this godless proselytizing? Hardly. There's no urgency here to convert the unconverted. Let religious folks believe as they like and publicize their churches to other believers. Likewise let nonreligious folks disbelieve as they like and publicize their godless gatherings to other heathens. Nothing wrong with any of that. And none of it is proselytizing. It's just building friendships among compatible people and finding comfort in knowing that you aren't alone in your beliefs or nonbeliefs.
