Re: “Fact check: Yes, Obama's ad on Romney tax plan correct

Wonder why would the ad not mention that about "118 million filers would get a tax cut under the Romney plan. That includes nearly everyone making $100,000 or more, as well as about 77 percent of those making $30,000 to $40,000, for example, and 94 percent of those making $50,000 to $75,000."?

Re: “Despite school sentiment, Harding's leader said no to integration

Linda Pondexter of Hope (Hempstead County) became the first African-American student to graduate from Hendrix following the school’s integration in 1965.

Re: “Despite school sentiment, Harding's leader said no to integration

G. Notice I "quoted" Mr. Brown. His "research" seems to be limited. By the way, I do have a copy of Mr. Meyers book. Would not consider it "news," maybe "history."

Re: “Despite school sentiment, Harding's leader said no to integration

Not sure why AT lists this as "News." 50 years ago?

I remember seeing Sylvester play at Ozarks. That was certainly a big deal back in the day. A brave young man.

As the first coach to take an integrated basketball team into many of the gyms in Central and Northeast AR, I think maybe the "news from 1967" should include "Nettleton HS fans direct racial slurs at black players," or "Hazen HS denies access to basketball teams with black players.

Maybe Mr. Brown needs to explore this point, "Harding officially became the first private college in Arkansas to desegregate."

Re: “Study: More Walmarts = more hate

"...breakdown of the community. Small local businesses are more likely to be members of civic groups and involved in the community. They are also more likely to have closer relationships among their employees."

Walmart has been the death of small town America.
