Assemblages, oils and charcoal sketches by New York artist Lawrence Finney, whose drawing makes men and women monumental, in the way Rockwell Kent did, and regular, a la Hopper, will be on exhibit at Hearne Fine Art on Friday, Nov. 11, for the 2nd Friday Art Night event downtown from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

At the Cox Creative Center, Arkansas artist Judy Shantz Honey, who works in watercolor and collage, will be the featured artist in the Cox Creative Gallery. Four-footed guests will be among the visitors to River Market Artspace, which is allowing the Pulaski County Humane Society to show off a few of its orphans. A portion of sales will benefit the Humane Society.

Christ Church at 509 Scott St., which is featuring mixed media collages by Charlotte Durgin, will be open along with its indoor labyrinth, a meditation walking path. A history of the labyrinth is also on exhibit.

Amy Richmond Fine Art, which features the work of Steve Griffith; Oval Gallery, which is showcasing the juried “Big and Small Show”; and Ten Thousand Villages, which sells fair trade goods from around the world, will also be open. The Historic Arkansas Mu-seum will be closed for a private party.

<span class="square"></span>The Arkansas Arts Center’s fund-raising a la cARTe event series continues with a focus on Vincent Van Gogh at the home of Chad Rod-gers and Richard Leithiser in Little Rock. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; tickets are $30. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. To buy at ticket, call 396-0337.
