Re: “Rapert bill would offer immunity from prosecution to people seeking medical care for drug overdose

This is NOT the good idea you may think it is. People who have drug addiction problems need treatment. Drug charges give our drug courts leverage in forcing those who are addicted to receive treatment. Most people who overdose are NOT charged with drug possession charges. I'd love to see the data that suggest otherwise. However, many people who are charged with possession may be high or some may have ever overdosed. However, it is unlikely that those persons did not seek treatment for the overdose because they feared arrest. More likely, they didn't want treatment. Immunity is NOT the answer. Drug court and treatment--even at state expense--is.

Re: “Attorney seems nicer

My license from the State of Arkansas has the title "Attorney's License" and it states that I am licensed as an "Attorney and Counsellor at Law and Solicitor in Chancery". It doesn't say anything about being a lawyer. My diploma from the University of Arkansas doesn't either. It says I'm a "Juris Doctor"--I guess that's for when you have a sick Juris.
