Re: “Little Rock voters approve sales tax increase

"The city spent more than $112,000 at last report .."

"You mean Little Rock can spend public funds for partisan advertising efforts when other cities and counties cannot?"

I didn't realize the city could do this either. I am not surprised though.

Since the tax passed, it will be interesting to see how many out-of-state consultants are hired by City Hall. The last time I went to a City Workshop, we had to listen to a consultant from St. Louis tell us all about the neighborhoods around the Zoo and War Memorial Park/Golf Course. Then he showed us his three proposals for the area. First of all, surely someone from Arkansas (hopefully Little Rock) could have been hired and secondly I would prefer a consultant who is actually going use the final project of his/her plans. Well, Merry Christmas Mayor and the Board of Directors. I sincerely hope you spend our money wisely.

Re: “Little Rock voters approve sales tax increase

The turnout for this TAX vote makes me sick. Roughly 3% of the registered voters made the final decision. Pretty sad!
