Re: “A vote for gun control in Florida Senate

Politicians debate the age of majority, waiting periods, due process, teacher eligibility to carry, and on and on. For God's sake, when are these fools gonna' marshal superior force? Put a guard on the gate? Do what's needed to strike down the enemy before he gets in? And by the way, what's good for Florida isn't necessarily good for Arkansas.

Re: “Campus carry rules approved

Of course, campus carry laws won't eliminate shootings. But campuses will be dotted with a few armed individuals who are among the most peaceable, lawful segment of our population -- by a factor of at least six -- six times more lawful than police officers. Their presence will give pause to any nut, felon, terrorist or illegal alien who contemplates available targets. And in the event that one of the deranged individuals does choose a campus, we might even witness a good guy stop a shooting in progress.

Re: “Taking gun safety to state ballots

Ironic isn't it? Lefties on one hand besmirch gun owners as paranoid and ridicule them with a claim that there's no danger. But on the other hand want every firearm registered because America's too dangerous. Some on this forum seem to believe gun shows are "wide open" and a major cause for criminals having guns. They've obviously never been to one or they wouldn't write such outrageous things. Even Small Mikey with all his power, wealth and armed minions has not been able to catch anyone let alone indict one. I wonder how many here know that New York just launched its confiscation program. They're now matching death certificates to permits and taking guns from widows. Additionally, they just confiscated a permit and four handguns from a Navy Veteran and retired police detective based on a doctor's report that he was treated for insomnia. I guess some who post here want for Arkansas what has just been implemented in New York.

Re: “Taking gun safety to state ballots

Democrats hate the 2nd Amendment and to help suspend it, have labeled a nefarious law with a friendly name. They have a 50-year record of hostility to private firearms ownership. They know universal background checks cannot be enforced without extensive records. They know these records also are more commonly known as registration. Democrats want to register you because they don't trust you. To control you they need to keep tabs on you. So they register you, again and again, for each time you loan or hand your firearm to another, for each time you borrow a firearm, for each time you sell one, buy one, lose one, gift one and on and on. Nobody believes this will make anyone safer. And nobody believes this is about public safety. That was debunked when last used in the run up to World War Two. This is a democrat effort to subjugate conservatives and it's outrageous that democrats exploit incidents like the Sandy Hook atrocity for political gain. When Bloomberg manages to buy a general referendum, vote against his machine because his people are experts at writing ambiguous rhetoric.
