My dad just told me that my grandpa "Paw" and my great grandpa "Pap" used to say "We're going sifoggin!" meaning "We're going out and about." I looked to see if it was a real word and also tried various spellings but this was the only thing that was of any relevance. They were both southerners, Arkansans with thick Arkansan accents- at least to me. Another thing they did is took the first letters of two or three words or common sayings and made them into funny quips (this is called "spoonerisms"), like... instead of "he's a smart fellew!" They say "he's a fart smeller."
