Re: “Louise Halsey/Susan Chambers

Thanks Louise and Susan, your work inspires me. I hope your exhibition focuses attention on the huge impact that negative environmental change brings to people's lives. Climate change and with it, the 'new abnormal' warming (burning) and gas fracking and toxic ground water, to name just two of them, now negatively impact on our emotions and our sense of place (home).

In addition to the economic crisis, I hope that 'Occupy Wall Street' people can also focus on these psychoterratic or earth-related mental health issues and see the connections between the economic, climatic and ecological. Wall Street itself is now a 'house of cards'.

Creativity is an essential part of what I call, 'soliphilia', or the unity needed between us to defeat the forces that generate our solastalgia. I hope your exhibition is successful in that it brings attention to these huge issues.

May your art educate and spread your creative gifts and wisdom.

Glenn Albrecht.
