Re: “Cathi Compton also in circuit judge race

Candidates for judicial office must be considered for their legal background. The type of cases the judges are confronted with is mind boggling. Experience matters. The variety of clients Cathi has represented qualifies her to hold the trust that all of our clients expect in the ultimate decision maker. If you are a litigant or a loved one of one, you pray you have a Judge who gets it. Cathi brings that legal background to the bench. Let's all pull together on this one. Cathi has earned a seat on the bench. She has represented clients in all types of cases: civil and criminal, state and federal, plaintiff and defense.
She recently successfully prosecuted a consumer protection case on behalf of the
attorney general's office in which multiple victims of an adoption agency scam finally had their voices heard. As a consumer protection lawyer, she has the best interests of all
Arkansans at heart. Practicing lawyers realize the importance of a judge who can apply the law blindly and conform their rulings consistently, without regard to what their personal ideals might be. This describes Cathi. Oh, and one more thing: there is not a chance that she will forget what it's like to be a lawyer. There will be no "black-robeitis." She also because of her experience as a lawyer can relate to the stresses of being a litigant. Cathi is more than ready for this job.
