Re: “Is the Razorback tradition over in Little Rock?

How can you base "the end" on this season? The most exciting games in Razorback history have been played in War Memorial. Yes, the tailgating has gotten too large and surely has detered some people from coming on gameday, but the crowds are every bit as loud and loyal as ever. That could be helped by requiring at least the person parking on the golf course to have tickets to the game. But, television has had the biggest impact on ticket sales. NO way can you base "the end" on this season. As for the Restaurant owner, how about the fact that we have had a huge increase in restaurants over the past several years. Competition is brutal and there are many options. I have never seen a Little Rock crowd totally empty a stadium even when a definite loss was in sight. My wife and I sat thru the beating that we took in Fayetteville by Alabama, in the rain, until the final whistle. That crowd abandoned the Razorbacks at a time when they needed all the support they could get just to finish. We are true fans win or lose! Thoses guys need our support. They lost their top 5 coach and it was a punch in the face. It has hurt the morale of this team and it continues to show. "The War Memorial magic is gone"? BS! If you sit in the stands, that is not your opinion. It has become too much about the corporate crowd with private boxes and suites and less about the game and the real fans. One quarter of the state just sees it as an inconvenience and says to hell with the rest!
