Re: “Only the guilty want closure in West Memphis Three case

Innocent or guilty everyone deserves a fair shake. EVERYONE. I believe these men are innocent.
I was the same age as Damien Echols at his conviction. I know what the adult population was thinking and how they acted towards our "better interests". Satanic panic was a real thing in Arkansas in those days. That's exactly what it was, panic. Youth of all walks were singled out based on music and how they looked. It was preached in churches. The adults panicked. Who wouldn't have with all that crazy propaganda floating around from local ministers and authorities. Those children didn't deserve to be murdered and the parents deserved a guilty party to be taken into custody. Who wants to think of a mudering piece of shit floating around in their community. Someone needed to be found and prosecuted. These impoverished kids didn't stand a chance.
My thoughts are if they are sure they are guilty then let anyone they want to review the evidence. That way they will have a chance to prove their innocence or remain guilty. It's really a simple solution.
