Re: “The Hot Springs woman in the paper mask

Maxwell Anderson was a dear friend of my family and I feel the need to clear some of the things "Really?" posted. Since whoever posted that "thinks" they know him better than anyone else, you can take what I say with a grain of salt. MaXx did have a drug problem in earlier years, like many of us have. He liked to party, but always had things under control. Since those days, he cleaned up himself. About 4 years ago he started Vibe magazine and moved to Hot Springs. At that point he owned a house and sold it. Pretty sure he didn't lose it to drugs. When he moved to Hot Springs, he lived with his girlfriend at the time. They parted ways and he didn't lose his house because of addiction/drugs. He then rented a house and decided to move-yet again, didn't lose a house to drugs/addiction. So, exactly, what house are you talking about? Because in the last 4 years that has not happened???

His son is a teenager. All teenagers, reguardless of their parents, rebel. It happens to preacher's daughters, teachers, and drug addicts' children. His son, not wanting to take responsibility for his actions, left MaXx's care several times to avoid consequences for those actions. I have spoke with his son about why he left and not ONCE did he ever mention "because my Dad's a drug addict". MaXx did all he could for him. He attended parenting classes and even taught some of those classes recently. That doesn't sound like some hardcore drug addict to me.

MaXx did carry a knife. Funny you should mention that, cause everyone is looking for it. Only one problem, it was a big pocket knife. Now, if a big pocket knife justifies being shot, more power to Matt. But, there is a lot more to the story then him pulling a knife or hitting Andi with a golf club. Since "Really?" knows the whole story, then you know why he was there? That will come out. Actually, it's pretty obvious. Yes, he was high. Yes, he may have been up for days. But where did he get the meth from??? Why do people on meth get shot? Isn't it usually over a drug deal gone bad?

I am limited on what I can say because the investigation is still active and there is lots of information that will eventually come out. MaXx may have slipped but he was not some full blown drug addict living on the streets. He had a job, paid his bills, and was a wonder person to the end.
