Re: “Liberals have a lobby

Maybe it's just time for a paradigm shift. Instead of big busts and leveling lows, how about we focus on sustaining a productive economy centering on quality of life?

The obsession with constant grow is silly and unrealistic. I see the news and think the US is tanking hard...which couldn't be further from the truth. I look deeper and realize we're still growing, just at a lower percentage rate. In relation to other "golden era" booms, 1950s, 1980s, 2000s, it seems we are in trouble of losing the linear, even exponential, growth pattern memorialized on the news. I would agree with the first comment that Keynesian economics is far from perfect, and it was never meant to be a long term fix. Its application is supposed to manifest itself in times of trouble, when growth from the private section is improbable (when the Reganomics policies fail). The result is, instead of a roller coaster ride through the decade, a steady and sustainable grow pattern. Reaganomics is the philosophy of Zombies: mindless, bloodthirsty and greedy.

Oh, and stop being a troll, Thomas. We know you don't actually believe this stuff.
