I would prefer raising the standard exemption and revising the tax rates. I hate adding complexity to the tax code. It's really the same thing just packaged differently.

I'm confused over the new amendment giving the legislature power to approve or disapprove of independent commissions. What does this give them the power to do? Do they now have the ability to overrule the ethics commission? Strip the G&FC of their voter approved financing that was passed back when the Leg. stripped them of funding?

It's not only the private option. Now that they are close to a supermajority in both houses look for constitutional amendments to replace all of the laws that have been overturned by the Arkansas Supreme Court.
