Re: “The medical marijuana push in Arkansas

I hate to see some of your negative comments. This is a great opportunity for Arkansas patients. It seems that the people who are against Medical Marijuana are the people who don't need it. Consider your friends or loved ones who are sick and dying. Would you not want them to have a better quality of life or better treatment option? If there was something that could help them, would you, in good conscience, deny them that? Some of us REALLY do need this MEDICINE. That's right...medicine. Just like all other medical drugs out there (man made from FDA) it can be abused, but that shouldn't make it not available to the rest of us who need it and will use it properly, just like prescription drug doses. There are WAY more harmful drugs out there that ARE APPROVED by the FDA which I am sure most people see no problem with....because it's legal. For those of us who suffer with severe pain, daily, anxiety, depression, etc...Medical Marijuana is a great option. And no, I am not joking. I'm not talking about a simple headache or something most people call pain...I'm talking about the kind of pain I have to live with every single day that makes me want to die at times. Countless surgeries, nerve damage, a body infested with tumors makes my life a lot harder than the average joe. Not to mention all the things I have LOST due to my condition--the avility to see ANYTHING, not even able to hear the most basic sounds such as the song of the bird (that's right...total darkness and silence), losing the ability to walk around on my own....it's a depressing life. Why deny patients like me a good quality of life just because you don't like the fact of marijuana being called a medicine? If you don't like it or need it, fine...You don't have to have it. But don't deny those of us who DO need it the opportunity to have it...legally.
