Re: “New ramp planned for Big Dam Bridge

I utilize the Big Dam Bridge and now the new Two Rivers Park bridge as often as anyone and have probably seen or passed each of the bikers or walkers that has commented to this article concerning "New Ramp Planned..." I wholeheartedly agree with most of the writers in that I haven't witnessed any of the rude, inconsiderate, or non-conforming walkers or bikers during any of the many trips across the BDB or TRP bridges. I have seen a few cyclists and some walkers that need to be trained or educated in not only trail etiquette but safe trail utilization. I think "we've" created a "Monster" with the River Trail System which includes the BDB, TRP, Clinton Library and Junction bridges. That Monster being the number of people using our trails and bridges daily for whatever reason and use is the primary reason the River Trail and the various bridges were built for. Along with that ever increasing number of people using our Trail System comes and also ever increasing number of responsibilities that the people using the Trail System must be held accountable for. Whether you are a biker, walker, runner, dog-walker, or just plain sight seeing, you should be responsible in act in a safe manner just as you do when you drive an automobile. What seems to be occurring more frequently than anything else if the fact that PEOPLE ARE NOT ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS AND ARE PUTTING THE BLAME ON SOMEONE ELSE. With that said, I look forward to seeing or passing you on the River Trail tomorrow and the many days weeks ahead! By the way, you'll recognize my "berrringing" of my bike bell when I get close to you. See you soon.
