Good journalism requires that the facts be checked with the organization before writing such a false headline. The Arkansas Times did not do that in this case. The Tea Party had the head of the Chamber speaking to them yesterday about the future of downtown, and a state representative spoke the previous week. At no point did the Tea Party ever have anything to do with the parade or the parade count study, although some Tea Party members were campaigning for a presidential candidate at the parade, independent of the Tea Party. The first Tea Party members ever heard of this study was when it was falsely published on your blog.

The Arkansas Times was discussed at each of the last 2 tea party meetings both times in a positive way. There were references to your lively and humorous discussions about the Clinton Airport name change and the State Surgeon General being arrested.

I think a retraction of your headline is in order.
